WAC  Assists to deliver world class facility at WAN Feed Mill for Weston Foods

About the Project:

Weston Animal Nutrition (WAN) operates three feed mills across Australia and New Zealand as part of Mauri, a Division of George Weston Foods (GWF). Today GWF is one of Australia and New Zealand’s largest food manufacturers employing over 6,000 people across 58 sites.

The project was an important development, establishing a new stockfeed mill in Hope Valley, Western Australia. The project involves the design, construction and commissioning of a feed mill capable of processing over 300,000 tonnes of WA grain per annum.

WAC in collaboration with Wiley who was contracted as the Principal Contractor to design and construct the new facility, while aimed to bring modern feed production capability to W.A. With increased capacity and manufacturing flexibility the new feed mill allowed Weston Animal Nutrition to service their customers with high-quality animal nutrition solutions well into the future. 

The Brief:

WAC was contracted by Wiley to conduct Concreting Services. Situated in the rapidly developing industrial precinct of Hope Valley, the brief for this customer required the Hope Valley site was to prepare earthworks and install 13,000m2 external, 10,000m2 internal of concrete warehouse space.

Access and egness for for 36.5m Road Trains has taken into account swept path and axle math configurations for the facility. 

Construction is underway on the Hope Valley site and the facility will be operational midway through 2022.
